Student Carbon Neutrality Network (SCANN)

A network of student organizations sharing a common goal of a just transition to carbon neutrality at the University of Michigan.

Our Mission

Through SCANN, we catalyze student engagement and advocacy across U-M’s three campuses to ensure the full and robust implementation of carbon neutrality, including fossil fuel divestment. We accomplish this goal by coordinating ideas and leveraging our collective power to hold the University accountable to progress consistent with the urgency of the climate crisis.

What we do

The University has committed to carbon neutrality efforts for all three campuses (Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint). We are here to make sure it happens. Click here to read more about how we are keeping the University of Michigan accountable.

Current News

SCaNN recently sent out an open letter to the Regents and Executive Officers at the University of Michigan, emphasizing the need to focus on carbon neutrality. Read our letter here.
